An Historical Day

I do understand the importance and historical significance of this day. I did not vote for Obama and do not approve of his policies, for I think he was largely elected on the basis of his ability to give the sound bite and talk, thus the "great expectations of his address." I think people will be really surprised when the time for talking is over and the time for action arises, and Obama is found lacking in both wisdom and experience. All that being said, I hope that I am wrong and I do appreciate the moment. I understand that more than being voted for by people, presidents are divinely ordered and appointed. May God's purpose in bringing Obama into office come to pass. And may this country, instead of trusting in a man, find fresh faith and confidence in its God. May this country's people take responsibility for their own lives, futures, children, and retirement and quit hoping for "bailouts." I hope these are the hallmarks of this day's "new era."
